STUDENTS & WINTER RECESS
As we head into the winter weather, I want to take this opportunity to provide you with a few winter reminders:
The children WILL go outside every day except for days that the wind chill is below 15 degrees or it is raining.
The children CAN play in the snow if they have snow boots, snow pants, and gloves on. (And a coat of course!) We want the children to be kids and enjoy the snow; however if they do not have proper snow attire on, they will need to stay on the blacktop. We welcome students to build snowmen and other formations. We certainly want them to have fun, however any snow ball throwing is prohibited. We want the students to enjoy the privilege of playing in the snow, therefore appropriate behavior is required.
Some suggestions for winter clothing:
Hats and gloves (waterproof gloves or mittens encouraged)
Boots (required to go off black top and in the snow)
Snow pants (required to go off black top and in the snow)
Warm coat (easy to zip, button, or snap)
Getting the children outside is very important to us. The children love it, and it is a nice motor break for them! We appreciate your cooperation in making sure your child comes prepared in the winter months, and we hope they have fun!
