Palos East is teaming with Palos West to collect food for those in need. The Souper Bowl started on January 22nd and ended on January 31st.
We collected over 3.000 perishable food items and household goods for families in need.
Congratulations to FIRST GRADE who collected more than any other grade level. They will enjoy their tailgate reward this spring.
Working together we can score a touchdown in the fight against hunger!
Smalentine Smencils were sold from February 6th -10th during lunch.
There were 5 different scents and only cost $1.00!
We partnered with Palos South to collect money and gift cards to send to the victims of the tornadoes in Washington, IL.
We raised over $1,500 in cash and gift cards!!
Thank you to all who donated to this very worthy cause.
Once again, we spread holiday cheer at Alden Nursing Home. On December 19th, we sang Christmas Carols and decorated a Christmas tree for the residents. The Palos East Student Council Choir did a GREAT job.
PALOS HEIGHTS ART GARDEN TREE DECORATING CONTEST
We entered the Palos Heights Christmas Tree Decorating Contest at the Palos Heights Art Garden. Our theme this year is "GEOMETREE". All of our ornaments have a geometry theme. We even have rulers as garland. Judging took place on Friday, December 6th at the fire station. We received an "HONORABLE MENTION"!
Student Patrols have strapped on their orange belts and will be helping make sure everyone gets to their classroom safely. They have special ORANGE character coupons for those that are following our character code of HONESTY, RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY.
