Welcome to Palos 118

OUR MISSION

The mission, vision, and beliefs of Palos 118 focus on providing the best education possible for children. The Board of Education annually develops goals and action targets designed to accomplish the mission. There are three major goals.

Our Mission: Palos Community Consolidated School District 118 is a fiscally responsible school community that engages all students to become confident, adaptive and productive life-long learners.

Registration Assistance Night is July 16

Palos School District 118 will host a registration assistance night event on July 16 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Palos South Middle School, 13100 S. 82nd Ave. in Palos Park.

Educational Foundation, PFA Donate $30,000 for New Classroom Displays

The Education Foundation and PFA have each donated $15,000 that will be used to purchase new interactive displays for Palos South Middle School.

District Receives $5k Grant from Palos Park Woman’s Club

The $5,000 grant will help the District to establish an indoor hydroponic gardening program to teach sustainability practices and address food insecurity.

Palos East Student Illustrators Recognized

The students, who were all first graders in Mrs. Bronson's first grade classroom, submitted artwork to be included in a new book on nature.

Palos South Track Teams Take Home Top Trophies at SWIC Conference

The seventh-grade girls and boys teams, along with the eighth-grade boys team, all earned first-place finishes. The eighth-grade girls team won second place.

Palos 118 Students Earn Top Honors at South Cook Math Bowl

During the two-day competition, Palos 118 students took home two team awards and several individual awards.
