The All Stars

This year the All Stars are coached by:

Our events are:

Social Studies
    The primary topics covered in seventh grade Social
    Studies are Civil War and Reconstruction:  Causes and
Consequences, U.S. History, and The World in
    Transition:  World War I - World War II.  Of course,
seventh graders also take the U.S. and Illinois Constitution
    tests.

Math
    Mathematical concepts studied in seventh grade include:
Number Concepts and Numeration, Measurement,
    Geometric and Algebraic Concepts, Data Analysis,
    Probability, and Problem Solving.

· Excel Project

Science
    The main areas of concentration in seventh grade Science
    are the Science of Cells, Kingdoms, and Comparative
    Anatomy and Physiology.

Language Arts
    In Language Arts, our students focus on developing skills
    in both Reading and English.  They study several literary
    genre including fantasy, historical fiction, poetry
    and short stories. Children participate in shared reading
    experiences, literature circles, and independent,
    self-selected reading.  They write for a variety of purposes
    and audiences.  In addition, students study grammar to
    better understand the structure of the English language and
    gain fluency.
