    If I knew then what I know now……

 
 

  • Don’t have to take showers in gym
  • Don’t have to wake up so early
  • You don’t need to go to your locker between every class
  • Band lockers – to pick up instrument at the end of the day
  • Changing for gym
  • Lockers are small, but you can fit all of your belongings
  • Excited and nervous about meeting new people
  • Don’t be afraid to try out teams
  • How many activities you can be in
  • You don’t have to carry your books to class
  • Remembering locker combination gets easier
  • Getting to class on time
  • Remember locker combination
  • More freedom
  • Knew the shortest way to the art room
  • Knew more about the dances
  • You have to take health
  • Not to be afraid of teachers

  • Although you have more freedom, you don’t have to do everything on your own.

Teachers and older students will help you.

  • School year goes by fast…so use it WISELY
  • Don’t get in trouble
  • Take your time in the halls
  • Stay focused
  • Don’t be nervous if the classes are hard or not
  • Be willing to help others if you can.  Everyone is in a new school in 6th grade and helping someone out only makes them less nervous.
  • Don’t let one period be your favorite, they should all be your favorite…and the school year will be fun.
  • Don’t worry about forgetting your connections/gym combo.
  • Just because you don’t have recess, it doesn’t mean school won’t be fun.  You get more field trips, specials, and a longer lunch.
  • Schedules are easier to remember
  •  The field trips are awesome
  • Don’t be nervous about opening your locker
  • Always double check your schedule
  • Do better on the math exam
