Plague
By:Jim and Casey

The Plague was also called the Bubonic Plague. The Black Death was a horrible disease carried by fleas on rodents. If the fleas infected human bodies they would get big black blotches on them. Also, once humans got infected they could spread the disease easily. Here's how the Black Death worked.  The flea spit the blood from the rat into the human. The human dies and the rat dies, but the flea lives a long happy life.

The reason we picked the Black Death was because it had a big impact on the Middle Ages. Many people were killed from this horrible disease. We also picked it because we thought it was a really interesting topic. The topic is interesting because who would have thought that a flea could wipe out almost a civilization.

1. How do you think you can stay away from the plague?
     2. How do you think it would have felt if you were dying from the Black Death?

     3. What kind of medicine would you use to cure the diease of the Black Death?
