Knights
By:  Ayman and Dan
The main weapons of the medieval knights were the sword and lance. In a charge, the long, heavy lance would be the first weapon with which a knight would make contact with the enemy. Before a knight could become a knight he would have to go through two stages which were a page and a squire.

A Knight, a mounted man-at-arms of medieval Europe,  served a king or feudal superior, usually in return for the tenure of a tract of land. The knight was generally a man of noble birth who had served in the subordinate ranks as a page and squire before being ceremoniously inducted.  The knight usually swore to be brave, loyal, and courteous and to protect the defenseless. After the 15th century, knighthood came to be conferred on civilians as a reward for public services. In modern-day Great Britain, knighthood is an honor conferred by the monarchy on both men and women in recognition of outstanding personal merit.
