King Arthur was one of the most powerful kings of Britannia. He conquered a lot of land and was a very good king. The history and all the books say that he was one of the best knights in England or the whole world. Some of his power he got from the sword called excalibur. Excalibur was a magic sword which King Arthur grabbed from the middle of the lake with some help from the lady of the lake. Excalibur always protected King Arthur from any danger. King Arthur got excalibur before he went to fight the Sable Knight.  This happened the second time when the Sable Knight almost killed him. The Sable Knight would have killed King Arthur if it wasn't for Merlin. When the Knight wanted to kill King Arthur, Merlin ran by him and hit him with his stick by putting him to sleep. King Arthur still lived a long time after that. He won the heart of the lady of his dreams. Later in battle against Sir Mordred, he is said to have died. But if you don't know King Arthur was just a myth. A lot of people believe he was real, but he wasn't in my opinion.
