THE CRUSADES The Crusades were a series of battles fought by the Christians and the Muslims. So, you could say that it was a big war. The Crusades lasted from 1095 to 1388. During the massacre more than 800 jews were slaughtered. At the end the Muslims had control of the holy land until the 12th century.![]()

The Knights Templar was a monistic military formed at the end of the Crusades yo protect the pilgrims moving east. Pope Urban the II was one of the Knights Templar. He motivated many of the towns people to fight the Muslims and take back the holy land by saying the words,"Dieu Le Volt: God Wills It." Unfortunately, Pope Urban the 2nd died before the Crusades were over at the age of 57.![]()
