Cathedrals
By: Brooke

The cathedral is one of the greatest and most beautiful symbols of god and how much we respect him. But, many of these cathedrals have either rotted or been torn down. We do still have one of the most famous cathedrals still intact. It is
Notre Dame in Paris, France. A cathedral is the main church of a Catholic Bishop's Province. This meaning comes fom the Greek word Kathedra, meaning Seat of Bench. The plan of cathedral follows the shape of a cross and the entrance facing west. Most of the Spanish cathedrals tend to be larger than most. Some of the best examples of French Gothic Cathedrals are in Reims and Strasburg. Cathedrals have been built and preserved for thousands of years and will continue to be for many years to come. Here are a few  examples of cathedrals.
