Norse Mythology

Norse mythology is a very interesting subject.  The Norse gods are what the Vikings worshipped.  Legends about evil creatures and gods with magnificent powers were all part of Norse Mythology.  One of the most famous legends was the story of the Loch Ness Monster.  Like the Greeks, the Norse gods had a chief.  He was known as Odin.  One of the most well known Norse gods was Thor.  The Norse gods controlled what would happen on Earth and natural occurences.  Norse gods were very much like Greek and Roman gods.  They were just like humans, except they had mystical powers that could do almost anything.  Norse, Greek, and Roman gods all had different jobs like leading the dead to the under world and controlling the weather.  Monsters were also a big part of norse mythology.  The Vikings really believed these monsters existed.  Even today, people claim that they've seen sea serpents or monsters.  Although there is no proof that these monsters ever existed, people still belive in them.
Besides the monsters and gods, the Vikings had other beliefs.  For instance, they believe that the universe started as a big ball of magic.  The magic then created all of these planets and worlds for humans, gods, and other creatures like elves and giants.
