| Ten little Indians
went out to dine. . So begins an old poem about ten little Indian boys being eliminated one by one. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie is perhaps the greatest mystery novel of all time. It grabs your attention right away! This remarkable story takes place on a forgotten island where ten people are gathered by a mysterious host. Indian Island is very dangerous because people are killed, things are stolen (like a revolver and a hypodermic syringe )and people are trapped there with the food supply running out. Of course, some are scared because there is a murderer on the loose! Although it is dangerous, Indian Island is VERY beautiful. There is a lovely ocean view, A BIG white house (very rich looking), and greenery everywhere. Indian Island is also creepy. There is an unknown murderer, hiding places, and it is full of dead people. The main character in the story is Vera Claythorne. Vera is very polite because she says ''thank you'' to everyone who helps her, she keeps her cool and helps cook after the cook dies. Vera also feels guilty because she killed another and spirits haunt her. The conflict in the novel is basicly figuring out who the murderer is. First, Anthony Martson died, then Mrs. Rogers dies, then the things get stolen(revolver and hyperdermic syringe). The main message in the story is that you can't run from your crimes; they will haunt you as they haunted Vera. Overall, I liked the
novel alot!!!!!!!!!! The author added clinchers everywhere!!!!
This novel is like Surviver because ten people are gathered on an
island and one by one they are eliminated. I would recomend this
book to anyone who loves a good mystery!
