Musical Project

MUSICAL

Music was an important part of all ancient cultures including the Egyptians. Ceremonial dances took place during mummification and at the tomb. Evidence of this can be found in tomb paintings and artifacts.

There are TWO musical project choices available:

muu-dancers Monumental Music

Read about the ancient Egyptian muu-dancers. With a partner or two, give an oral report to the class and perform the dance as you think it would be. Remember to dress like the Egyptians! You are now a musician dedicated to singing about the ancient cities and monuments of Egypt. Write a song about three of the sites you visited. Record it alone or with a partner (using background music).
