Meet Mrs. Helmin

Welcome to seventh grade. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Chris Helmin. I began my teaching career in 1989 and have been at Palos South since 1994. Since coming to South, I have taught eighth grade English, reading, Algebra, social studies and have been a Special Education Case Manager.  

I have been married for 18 years and have a son who is a senior in high school and a son in sixth grade.  We also have a dog named Louie.  

I look forward to my new seventh grade assignment!
