Hello! My name is Erica Yucuis, and I teach 3rd Grade. I feel fortunate that I get the opportunity to help students find a love of learning every day. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Elementary Education and have had experience teaching 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and Kindergarten at Palos East. I am taking classes for my Master's in Education Technology at National Louis. I am excited to use all of what I am learning from my classes with my students! Get ready for lots of technology 3rd graders :)
Speaking of technology, please visit our classroom Padlet which is a website we will be using for class discussions or for asking questions outside of school. As a parent, you can post on this site if you have a comment or thought about what we are doing at school.

As a 3rd grade teacher, it is my goal to help children discover the joy of learning, and to help each child develop a strong belief in his or her own ability. I want them to do their best and to have a sense of pride in doing their personal best. It is also of primary importance to me that my students appreciate and respect other people's differences.
I believe communication is extremely important, and I value your partnership in helping your child grow as a learner. Feel free to contact me with any concerns, questions, or comments.
You can call our classroom directly and leave a voice message during school hours.
