Equipping The
Science Labs in Our Schools
This project is great in it's scope. Our mission
is to create one science lab at both Palos East
and Palos West schools for grade 4 and 5 fully
equipped with counter space and room for
student's projects. Two fully equipped 6th grade
science labs and one applied technology lab at
Palos South school for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
In the applied
technology lab, there will be hands-on,
interactive, multimedia activities that bring
advanced concepts to life in technology, math,
science, written communication and language
arts. These activities use video, text, graphics
and animations while students comprehension is
assessed and recorded.
Completion Target
Date is August 2006 and estimated amount to be raised
is $500,000.

Annual "BACK TO
SCHOOL" Family Style Picnic
Joining the PFA, Band Parents and the school
district, Palos 118 Educational Foundation
participates in this annual family party before
the start of each school year. Parents,
students, teachers and families join in this
great day of fun. Held at the Village Green in
Palos Park the day is full of games,
clowns, great food and more.
Laps For
Literature
This annual fund walk benefits the Media Centers
in each of the schools. The walk is held at all
three schools. Students raise pledges for walk
participation. All proceeds are utilized for
replenishment and upgrading of supplies, books,
software and materials for each media center.
Volunteers are always needed for this great
event. |
