1.My computer is frozen?

Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is restart your computer.  Press control, alt, delete - at the same time twice.  If this does not work, press and hold the power button in for 10/15 seconds and the computer should shut down.  To restart - press in the power button again.
2.I can't save to my disk?
Check to make sure the disk is not locked.  Make sure the silver write-protected tab is not broken.  You may need to format your disk prior to saving your work.
3.My disk won't eject from the disk drive?
Call Ann or Judy to proerly remove the disk from the drive.
4.My disk says that it is unreadable by my computer?
The disk needs to be reformatted any any work saved on that disk will be lost.
5.Even though my disk is in the disk drive, the computer says that the A:drive is not ready?
There is a problem with your disk, you may need to run scan-disk and see if the computer can diagnose the problem.  Your disk may need to be reformatted and all work saved to that disk will be lost.  The disk may need to be discarded.
6.My computer monitor is turning shades of purple, pink and green?
The monitor cable could be bent, try pulling the monitor away from the wall and straightening out the cable.  Check the brightness setting on the front of the monitor.  Your monitor may need to be replaced.
7.My computer monitor desktop area is curved and distorted?
There are adjustments on the front of your monitor to realign the desktop area.
8.My computer does not have clip art?
Contact Judy or Ann to repair clip art on your computer.
9.In Microsoft Word, how do I double space my document?
Go to FORMAT, then to PARAGRAPH, to the LINE SPACING section.  ARROW to DOUBLE and click ok.
10.In Microsoft Word, how come every line starts with a capital letter?
You are probably pressing the enter button as you type and get close to the right margin.  Microsoft Word thinks that each line is a new sentence.  Go to FORMAT, to AUTOFORMAT, to OPTIONS, to AUTOCORRECT, and uncheck CAPITALIZE THE FIRST LETTER OF SENTENCES.  Click OK.
11.In Microsoft Word, how can I move a text graphic into a movable graphic?
Go to INSERT, down to PICTURE, select graphic/picture and insert graphic into your document, close or minimize INSERT CLIP ART DIALOG BOX, double click on picture, FORMAT PICTURE DIALOG BOX should appear. Go to LAYOUT TAB, choose button TIGHT, click ok, you will get handles to move picture.
12.How can I copy a few paragraphs from the internet or an excyclopedia?
Highligh desired text.  Go to EDIT, then to COPY, go to START MENU, open Microsoft Word.  Go to EDIT, then to PASTE.  Your highlighted text should now appear.
13.My NET TV will not turn on?
Make sure all connections are secure and that the NET TV is plugged-in.  Check the battery placement in the remote control, are batteries in correctly?  You may need new batteries.
14.How do I connect the NET TV to the computer?
The NET TV can be hooked-up directly to the tower in the monitor port connection, or if there is a Y-cable on the back of the tower, connet the NET TV to one side of the Y-cable and the computer monitor to the other side.   Check settings by:
Turning on the computer and double click on MY COMPUTER.
Double click on the CONTROL PANEL icon.  Double click
on the DISPLAY icon.  Go to SETTINGS tab.  Make sure the
color palette is set to 256 colors.  Make sure the desktop area is set
to 480 x 640 pixels.  Click ok.
Restart computer.
Turn on NET TV power button located on front of NET TV (red light will appear).
Turn power on from remote control (red light will turn green), slide open front panel on remote control and press TV/AV (vga) button until computer desktop appears on NET TV.
15.My NET TV appears on, but there is no picture on my computer screen?
Do you have a Y-cable?  This connection is needed for an image on both the NET TV and computer screens.  Make sure connections are secure to monitor and NET TV.  Slide open the remote and push the TV/AV (vga) button on and switch between AV1 and AV2.  Picture should appear.  Check to see if the pins are bent on all connections.  If they are, you will need a new set of cables.  Contact Judy or Ann.
16.I turned on my NET TV and a triple image appears?
Go to CONTROL PANEL, to DISPLAY, to SETTINGS, make sure the desktop area pixel settings are set to 480 x 640.
17.I can't get regular and cable TV stations on my NET TV?
Do you have a cable/regular TV cable from the classroom fiber box to the VCR?  Has your NET TV been programmed to receive cable/regular TV channels?
18.I can't get he VCR/DVD to work?
The NET TV and VCR/DVD must both be turned on.  Did you remember to put the video tape in the VCR?  Slide open the remote control and switch between AV1 and AV2 until the picture appears.  Check the video tape to make sure the tape is actually advancing in the video tape case.  Has the video tape been rewound?  Check all connections to make sure they are secure.
19.In Internet Explorer, I cannot get to a web site?
Check to make sure that you have typed the World Wide Web (www) address correctly, including periods, hyphens, and spelling.  The site could be down, there could be a problem with the server or internet service provider.
20.How do I save to my H:drive?
You must first log-in, then double click on MY COMPUTER, there should be an icon with your log-in name.  Double click to open the icon, then to to FILE, down to SAVE AS, choose your H:drive, and give your file a name, click SAVE.
21.How do I save my bookmarks to my H:drive?
Login to your H:drive.  Double click on MY COMPUTER, then on C:drive, then PROGRAM FILES, then NETSCAPE FOLDER, then USER FOLDER, then DEFAULT.  Click once on BOOKMARKS, go to EDIT to COPY.  Close all windows until MY COMPUTER, double click on your H:DRIVE folder, go to EDIT to PASTE.  All bookmarks should be saved on your H:drive.
22.I can't log-in on my computer?
Are you logged in on another computer in the building?  Did you type in your name and password correctly?  Did you check the log-in box to see if your room number or name is appearing in the box?  If your computer is connected to a hub, check to see if hub is plugged in and lights are on.
23.My H:drive is full?
