  Welcome to our unofficial web page about Palos area schools!  The school districts in the Palos area are: Palos Consolidated School District 118, Palos Heights School District 128, and North Palos School District 117. These schools are great places for children. There are experienced parent helpers as well as experienced and well educated teachers. 

 
School District 118

     Palos 118 consists of three schools: Palos East, Palos South, and Palos West. Palos East and West have grades K-5. Palos South has grades 6-8. All together these schools currently have 2,035 students.  The district's boundaries are 107th St. on the north. 135th St. on the south, Harlem Ave. on the east, and Will Cook Rd. on the west.
     All three of these schools have incredible teachers and great facilities including computers and Net TVs in every classroom in addition to computer labs.  Our superintendent is Dr. Carrol. If you have any further questions then please visit District 118's extensive website at www.palos118.org.

School District 128

     District 128 is one of the districts in Palos Heights. There are four schools in District 128: Indian Hill, Navajo, Chippewa, and Independence Jr. High. 
     Indian Hill is an early childhood center. Navajo is for kindergarten through second grade. Chippewa is for third through fifth grade. Independence Jr. High is for sixth through eighth grades. In all of the schools there are about 700 kids. The schools (except for Indian Hill) have computers in each classroom. The schools are ranked high on standardized tests.

                                                  School District 117

           If you live in Hickory Hills on the south side of 87th or Palos Hills before 106th St. then 117 is the school district for your big or little student. The district consists of five schools. Quin and Dorn which are Pre-K (Quin) and K-1 (Dorn). Glen Oaks and Oakridge are grades 2-5.  Conrady’s grade levels are 6th-8th. Two teachers in district 117 are National Board Certified teachers. Several other teachers are in the final stage of acquiring this certification.
