We took some time to reflect on this engaged learning project. We thought about the entire process, what we learned, what we enjoyed, what we struggled with, and what we will remember. Here are excerpts from our reflection essays: I used some of the teamwork skills I didn't even know I had. If I could be a teacher I would do a project just like this one. One of the most unenjoyable things I did in this project was the interview, but I got through it. If I rated this project 1-10, I would definitely give it a 10! My teammates and I worked really hard to get this far. It may have been hard, but it was fun. To sum up, I loved this project! This was the best project I have ever done in my whole life. No one was telling us what to do. We did it all by ourselves. Doing this project was not easy. I had to get an interview and take pictures. I learned how to make a web page, make a link, and add a border. I've done different projects but this was the best. We had to work very hard on the Our Town project. We had to get an interview which was a problem for some people. I had no trouble getting an interview, but I forgot to take notes (I was so interested in what the professor was saying). When we were working in our group, we didn't always agree on everything, but we would always solve the problem. I really enjoyed putting the web page together, finding colors and designs that go together and that go with the theme. Maybe I should be an interior decorator. I learned more about working in a team. This means my social and technology skills both increased. ....My overall opinion is that this was one of the most exciting projects during my experience at Palos East. .....I discovered and used various skills that I didn't know I had. I learned how to do an interview. ...I had to use many computer skills. I enjoyed making the web page and interviewing. I enjoyed every last bit of this project. I think
making a web page involved lots of teamwork and trust.
