Hello my name is Mrs. Healy. I teach Second Grade in Room 9. This is my 21st year in District 118. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois in 1986. I completed my Masters degree in School Counseling from Southern Mississippi University in 1997.
During my
years at Palos East I have enjoyed teaching Kindergarten, First and
Second Grades. I have enjoyed "Looping" with my colleague Mrs. Pernai.
"Looping" is when a teacher teaches the same group of students for two
consecutive years. Teaching the same children for two years has been an
extremely successful experience for the students, their parents, and the
teacher!
