Welcome
to Physical Education with Mrs. Karns

The physical education curriculum at Palos East will focus on creating healthy life styles for all children.  Students will receive information about proper diet, exercise, and the need for adequate rest that will help them make the best choices concerning personal health.  In the physical education class your child will learn about the effect exercise has on the body,  identify muscle groups,  and discuss how diet and exercise effect the quality of play.  In addition to health-related content, we also present a wide variety of movement activities.  Our environment is a non-threatening one where children are encouraged  to explore new activities, experience the thrill of success and learn from failed attempts.

This school year is off to an exciting start and we are having a great time meeting new friends and renewing many past friendships.  The staff has a collection of innovative ideas which will provide your child with a wealth of rewarding experiences here at Palos East.
