Action Target 1:
Identify opportunities for teachers and support staff to take leadership roles in building-wide and district-wide initiatives (carry forward)


Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

To Build a Connected Learning Community

Action Target 1:
Design and implement a new school district website.

Action Target 2:
Increase the school district’s social media presence.

Action Target 3:
Increase parent-teacher communication through the implementation of a single communication platform.

Action Target 4:
Increase two-way communication between the school district and the community (Carry forward).

Action Target 1:
Increase the school district’s investment in early learning programs.

Action Target 2:
Implement the new Illinois Social Science Standards in Grades K-8.

Action Target 3:
Implement the use of Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) at the elementary and middle school levels to measure student growth.

Action Target 4:
Implement the approved 1:1 device program at the middle school level.

Action Target 5:
Design and implement a system of key performance indicators for the purpose of benchmarking, setting goals, performance monitoring and program planning in key areas identified as crucial to ensuring all students reach their full potential.

Action Target 6:
Investigate the implementation of Trimesters at the elementary and middle school levels.

Action Target 7:
Design and recommend a plan for possible implementation of full day kindergarten.

Action Target 8
Transform our current educational spaces into 21st Century learning environments.

Action Target 9
Undertake a review and analysis of the school district’s assessment system and report findings to the Board.

Action Target 1:
Incorporate student growth in teacher evaluations.

Action Target 2:

Work with the PEA to identify and pilot best practices in teacher evaluations with the goal of creating a model evaluation system for consideration.

Financial and Facilities Management

To Manage and Plan for Financial Integrity

Action Target 1:
Balance our Operating Budget annually and align limited financial resources to support the five Annual Administrative Focus Areas for school years 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.

Action Target 2:
Develop a long range plan for financing future capital improvements.
