 Special Services Website

Palos West offers a full continuum of special education services.  These services are determined by the individual needs of each student and are set up through each student's I.E.P. (Individualized Education Program).

The mission of Palos School District 118 is to provide a quality learning environment which challenges its students to become confident, adaptive and productive life-long learners.

The primary goal of our Student Services Department is to identify and provide educational supports to students who have unique individual learning needs.  Our mission is to provide these services in an environment which is least restrictive and promotes interaction with peers, and enhances the learning and self-esteem of all studetns.  We will endeavor to provide the necessary and appropriate educational supports and modifications that will aid students in becoming successful learners.  Our community will be a safe environment in which diversity will be honored and education will be improved through encouragement of authentic participation of all members.
