Tournaments and jousts

In a tournament two knights would
line up 100 yards away. In these areas were the
safe areas were the squires had water fot their
masters and an extra sword if his broke. When the
herald give the sign to go the 2 knights charge
at each other with a lance or a spear trying to knock
off  there  each other, if both the knights would
be knocked off then they would use their sword till
               one knight gave up.

The origins of jousting was first started in the times
of Roman rule , but it became more popular in the
1400s. It all involed battles in which knights fight on
hoarseback, and assisted by foot soldiers.
Sometimes the losing team were held for randsome
and sometimes took there armor as a payment. Also,
they used jousting to prove which knight would
               be better of 2 knights.
