Monastery
by  Ryan and Drew

Monasteries in the middle ages were based on the rules set down by St. Benedict in the sixth century. The monks became known as Benedictines and took vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience to their leaders. Monks lived in monasteries. Monks went to church 8 times a day. Monks were well educated and devoted their lives to writing and learning.
