KNIGHTS
As a young boy
he would go to an uncle's or friend's castle
to train as a page. Most of the time he would learn how to use his
manners. He would also shape up his body. He wrestled, played football,
ran for miles, learned how to ride a horse, and bowled with a dead head
wrapped in a cloth. At the age of fourteen he would then become a squire.
A squire is a knights assistant. He would bring a sword
if the knight's sword broke, he would bring water when the knight wanted
water. He would wake him up and help him get dressed. He would also make
his bed. Finally at the age of 18 he would become a knight, there was a
big celebration.
