• How are fees being paid this year?

District #118 is using a mail-in fee process for registration purposes. Each year in early May, a packet is sent home with the youngest child or only child of each family in the district. This packet contains a fee invoice, a letter from the Superintendent, Business Office, PFA, a pest control letter which allows for early notification of pesticide use upon school grounds and other pertinent information. The District requires registration fees be returned as soon as possible before the beginning of the new school year. These forms can be returned by mail, returned to the school, or sent to the Business Office.

• What if I can't seem to find the packet?

If your packet has been lost, misplaced, or not received at all, a new packet is available at either the child's school or here at the business office. We request that you pay these required fees as soon as possible so your child is guaranteed his/her supplies on the first day of school. A late payment may result in late delivery of supplies.
 
 

• What exactly are these fees going to be used for?

The fees mainly go towards textbook and workbook expenses. According to the business office, textbooks are supplied by the school on a rental basis. Workbooks are charged as a consumable item. Both textbooks and workbooks, as well as other supplies, are included in this base fee. Other recommended supplies may be purchased through this invoice such as calculators and assignment books. Extras such as milk and yearbooks are also purchased through this invoice.
